  19. The C language doesn't know about "cpu  numbers".  If this is for a PC, to
  20. determine whether you have a 80286, 80386 or??, then try asking in a PC-based
  21. newsgroup, such as comp.os.msdos.programmer. (even if you are programming in C
  22. - the procedure will be much the same, regardless of language).
